How to get a Work Permit if you are younger than age 16.  (Students 16 and older do not need a Work Permit)

1. Go to the  Department of Labor website  to read about the process for obtaining a work permit.
2. Look for a job. Once you are offered a job you start the process of getting a Work Permit.
3. Print the Work Permit Data Sheet and give the form to your employer to complete.
4. Return the completed Work Permit Data Sheet to Ms. Sewell in the Front Office. She will submit the necessary information in an online portal with the Department of Labor.
