Jeremy Boleman Selected as Principal for Sugar Hill Elementary
Superintendent Will Schofield announced today his intent to recommend Jeremy Boleman as the next Principal of Sugar Hill Elementary School. The recommendation will be made at the Monday, March 10, 2025 board meeting. Boleman will take the place of Principal Jennifer Deaton, who will retire at the end of the school year.
“I am truly honored to join Sugar Hill Academy of Talent and Career and become part of such a dedicated school community,” said Boleman. “I look forward to building relationships with students, staff, and families as we work together to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. My goal is to expand upon the current culture of academic excellence at Sugar Hill, while ensuring every student has the opportunity to recognize and maximize their potential.”
Boleman began his journey with Hall County Schools as a high school student, working as an afterschool instructor at Spout Springs Elementary. While attending the University of North Georgia, he continued serving the district as a substitute teacher and afterschool instructor. His career in education includes six years as a health and physical education teacher at McEver Elementary before moving into administration, serving as an assistant principal at both Flowery Branch Elementary and Oakwood Elementary.
In December 2018, Boleman was named interim principal at Oakwood Elementary and was appointed principal in May 2019, his current position. Oakwood Elementary will close its doors at the end of this school year as it merges with McEver Elementary to form the district’s newest elementary school, Everwood Elementary.
“Jeremy Boleman understands the important balance of building community and setting the bar high for students and staff,” said Superintendent Will Schofield. “His heart for students—their learning and well-being—and his passion for supporting teachers in their professional growth—will be an asset to Sugar Hill as it continues to build on its culture of excellence.”
Boleman holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Gainesville State College, a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Education degree from the University of North Georgia and College State University, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University.
