    Out-of-District Choice Application

    Hall County Schools 

    Out of District Applications for the 2026-2027 School Year for First-Time Applicants for grades K-12th is NOW CLOSED

    If you are interested in applying for the Virtual Program of Choice as an out-of-district (tuition) student for the 2026-2027 school year, please complete the following:

    1. First, complete the  2026-2027 Out of District Application ; this will include the requirement of official transcripts regarding attendance, behavior, and grades before your application may be considered.
    2. Sealed Transcript Request Form
    3. After you have submitted the 2026-2027 Out of District Application and official transcripts and have received the application decision, you may apply to the Virtual Program of Choice.

    Please do not reach out to the Virtual Program of Choice until you have received the Out of District transfer decision.


    List of  Hall County Schools  that do NOT have available space and thus ARE NOT Available for Out of District applications for the 2026-2027 school year:

    • Johnson High School – all grades are closed
    • Spout Springs School of Enrichment- only available for rising kindergarten students who have an enrolled sibling currently in Spout Springs
    • Flowery Branch High School – all grades are closed
    • Mount Vernon Exploratory School – closed in 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd , 4 th  and 5 th  grades
    • Cherokee Bluff Middle School – all grades are closed
    • Chestnut Mountain Creative School of Inquiry – closed in 2 nd  grade
    • Wauka Mountain Multiple Intelligences Academy – closed in 4 th  and 5 th  grades
    • Everwood Elementary School – closed in 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd , 4 th  and 5 th  grades
    • North Hall Middle School – closed in 8 th  grade
    • Cherokee Bluff High School – all grades are closed
    • Martin Technology Academy – closed in 4 th  and 5 th  grade
    • C. W. Davis Middle School – closed in 6 th  grade

    Out-of-District Application Process Now Closed for New Applicants for the

    2026-2027 School Year

    CURRENTLY ENROLLED STUDENTS WHO MOVE OUTSIDE OF THE HCSD MAY APPLY TO REMAIN AS OUT-OF-DISTRICT (TUITION) STUDENTS

    A currently enrolled student who moves to a new residency address that is NOT within the Hall County School District and who wishes to remain enrolled in his/her current school may apply through the  Out-of-District Application . For an application to be considered, student application and official transcript should show, at a minimum, satisfactory behavior and attendance, as well as average or above-average achievement with no history of failing courses. If a student is accepted into the Hall County School District, then he/she will be offered a seat at the requested school if there is available space at the requested school.

    Accepted out-of-district students normally pay tuition of $1,000 per student, which is due to be paid in full by June 1 OR if out-of-district attendance is only applicable for part of a school year, the tuition is prorated based on the days of attendance.

    Currently enrolled students who move out of HCSD do not have to provide records.

    For families who do not live in the Hall County School District, the Out-of-District (Tuition) Application for the 2026-2027 school year is now closed, with the exception of families who are interested in applying for the Virtual Program of Choice ( https://virtualpoc.hallco.org/) .
